Check out the result of a severe storm vs an aquaponics system.
On Monday 22 March 2010 a severe storm passed over Perth Western Australia area. In its wake was a damage bill estimated at A$1.08 billion making it the costliest natural disaster in Western Australian history.
On the morning of the 22nd a timely photo was taken of a thriving Backyard Aquaponics System. During the afternoon the storm hit and the owner of the system who witnessed the storm, commented that the hail made it look like someone was going at the system with a machine gun!
All the fish survived as they were sheltered by the growbed that took the brunt of the storm.
